{secret kin}
...As I remember it, you were my reflection
in the crystal and calm, mirror pond
I peer into as a woman; simultaneously a child
Sometimes several to keep me pacified
You fell into my arms
or I fell into your chest
something of an inexplicable sensation
Unsure where I end and you begin
What I do know, with certainty
I woke as a rose, soaked with words;
Flaming in fury, armed with thorns,
Wailing a scarlet red song
I would call it a dream,
but I'm uncertain which memories are dreams
or belongings of my imagination manifest
Either way,
don't give up on me yet...
{untitled}
...Means I'm,
Trying to write something that moves you
A poem that pierces flesh,
thrusts itself into your chest
and leaves a love letter inside
I can't see what you see,
so close your eyes, just feel me
and I'll guide you to my hidden place
just you, me, and kaleidoscopic beauty
I wish I could make you feel the thoughts
that I form into sentences
of words til you jump out of your seat
and run into the street to dance to the pace
of your Wild heartbeat
stomping and uncontrolled feet,
carve a list of your demands
into the concrete
So they can see, what this place made of
just what we have the potential to be
I want to wrap my tongue around the words
that make you So Fucking Angry
You could move a city
with the size and strength
of your adrenaline
I'm yearning for the power of voice
needed to free what's locked inside me
I'm seeking a word so strong, the
vibration of its sound could
break down your tall pride
and part the oceans in your eyes
to create a pathway into
the corridors of your mind
and awaken the pieces of you
frozen and hummed to sleep...
{the day after remembrance}
...the sunset ran like watercolors
from her eyes that night
onto a soaked sleeve worn
on a warm and inquisitive shoulder
and back into the clouds, up to the stars,
where she'll stay until the darkness lifts
and the sun kisses her face
a new day
they can't predict where or when
lightening will strike
if its your time,
well that's just the way the game goes
we move and shake, spark and fade
like vibrations of thunder
with percussion hits and boom bips
She has a hidden place in the sky
where her presence is but a silhouette
she watches daybreak dance across the continents
and listens to the most beautiful silence
they can't explain it with scientific experiments
but it never ate anyone
just to imagine such a place...
{exposed}
...effortlessly, you petrify me
when I look in your, Shhhhhh
with your arms around my, Hush now
deepest secrets that I, Quiet down
Even still, with your hand over my mouth
Your beauty is like a cathedral of angels
singing heart driven sonnets that fill
my body til I feel I will...
and i've been trying to escape this island
where I woke up stranded,
when you left me out to sea
How easily I forgave you, baby.
This thing is an anchor around my neck
I'm fucking bent and it's evident
as the sun is to daylight
I wish memories could provide
the endurance I need to fight
the waves that keep washing me up,
pushing me down, wearing me out...
One more kiss, maybe
from those...
it doesn't do justice just to call them lips,
i'll swim unknown lengths back to reality
even knowing, you won't be waiting
How easily you forget me, baby...
